Computer Boot up Repair Tips
Some
problem may occur during system boot up of your computers like desktops and
laptops due to some hardware and software changes make sure that you create a
system restore point in your system before installing a new hardware or
software into your computers. Boot up failure may also occur when improper
shutdown of your machine arise due to (HD failure (Bluescreen), when windows
explorer has stop responding, when a program hang, and power interruptions).
You may notice a successful boot up of your system by hearing one short beep
from your unit. But if different beeps will be heard it may be caused to some
failures. Some common failures are caused by the hardware due to long term
usage the RAM is one of the common hardware that may cause a system failure
especially when your computer has not been cleaned or opened from the beginning
of time. It may be loosed from its slot, it may be dirty or the frequency
configuration has been altered. This failure of RAM may be noticed by 1 long
beep or 3 to 5 short beeps.
How to troubleshoot your
computer when it failed to boot up?
Ø When you boot up your unit and it
did not turned on or there is nothing happened or there is no beeps to
recognize the failure there must be something wrong in your power supply or may
be on the motherboard if this happens please contact your Computer manufacturer
and ask for their service maintenance because they have the appropriate tools
for repairing it.
Ø When it boot up and just repeatedly
restarting your computer or a notification that your boot manager missing you
will need a system repair disk. You can boot it up from a cd or in a flash
drive. For flash drives you will need an application that will make your flash
drive bootable.
Ø After booting up and a notification is
prompted that says that you need to replace your hard disk and backup your
files, then do what it ease, when this notification prompted you can still boot
your unit but it will encounter some failures and it may restart several times
and a bluescreen will occur that a failure happen and it will says that it
stops your system for preventing a major damage on it. You may also want to do
the first tip that I suggest contacting your computer manufacturer for their
support services. But hard disk cannot be repair so you should actually replace
it. Don’t worry when you replaced it, it
will not be a waste you can also use it as an external hard drive but it cannot
support any operating system just as storage for data and files.
